February Break 2009

Last year Holly and I went to California to first see our friends Lindsey and Nevin in Monterey, where Nevin is attending school at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. They both took time out of their busy schedules to show us some of the finer points that the area had to offer, including a stellar bike ride around the Pebble Beach golf course, a tour of the neighbouring town of Carmel, and the world renowned Monterey aquarium, to name a couple.

We then were met by Holly's Uncle Lloyd, who came from his home in San Ramone to pick us up. He was accompanied by Holly's Grandma who was down from Regina for an extended visit. We then left Monterey and made our way to San Ramone, with a quick tour of the Carmel area. Our time with Lloyd's family was brief, but enjoyable. San Ramone is an ideal location, to say the least.

The 2nd Annual MGA invitational

This summer a few of us competed in the second annual MGA invitational championship, which was held at the Dakota Dunes golf course near Saskatoon. The competition was tight, but Jeff Gabrush reigned victorious for the second year in a row. The competition was followed by the MGA banquet, which consisted of a classy buffet lunch at the Dakota Dunes Casino. Until next year, fellas.
